The Russia-Ukraine conflict was due to national interests resulted from Ukraine’s political and institutional areas, due to its impact relations with its neighbor Russia, tried to maintained a secure and stable western border.
The protests leded by the pro-Westerns are directed against the corruption of the family of former President Viktor Yanukovych, who sought to control the strings of economic, political and media power, under pressure from the protests the former president flew the country, and took refuge in Russia served as legitimate president.
To weaken Ukraine, and maintained its influence in the area, Russia promoted the annexation of Crimea, where the majority of its population is of Russian descended, in addition to being a strategic site, where the Russian fleet, that rented the port of Sebastopal until the year 2041.
The conflict over Crimea
brangs about a worsened of the political, and institutional crisis in Ukraine,
confrontation between pro-Russian groups, and groups, that defended the Kiev
government, elimination of high-ranklin Ukrainian military women from the Red
Army, the combat of the majority of Ukrainians against the Nazi invaders.

the conflict between Russia, and Ukraine was reflected in the air tragedy of

that crashed in the east of the Ukrainian territory.

Western hegemony, caused an economic, and financial crisis that leded to the
Russo-Ukrainian conflict.
